COTY engaged with 1r as their creative design partner as they explored the innovation of augmented reality (AR). 1r created user flows that complimented the Perfect Corp AR on-site experience across various brands in the makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance industries including Sally Hansen, Gucci, Lancanster, Rimmel, Philosophy, Burjious, Manhattan, MaxFactor, Burberry, Covergirl, Risque, and Clairol.
In partnership with PerfectCorp., 1r worked to create a skin analysis to target customers' skin concerns and make product recommendations based on those concerns. The goal of this project was to build trust with consumers by accurately analyzing their skin and boost conversion with specific product guidance. PerfectCorp.’s AI skin diagnostic technology works by scanning the face then producing complete results for all 14 types of skin concerns in just under 2 seconds.
Nail Try Ons
Sally Hansen, the first brand in the world to launch Perfect Corp.’s AgileHand Technology, is leaps ahead of any tech seen before for the nail category. The experience offers a Nail Virtual Try-On technology that lets fans experience hundreds of shades in an augmented reality environment. 1r designed an experience incredibly easy to navigate, allowing users to filter by type of color and finish before deciding to buy through an online retailer or brick-and-mortar store.
Shade Finder & Makeup VTOs
1r crafted virtual experiences for brands like Gucci investing in foundation shade finders. This allowed customers to find their perfect shade without ever having to go to a store. Other brands like Covergirl, Rimmel, and Burberry implemented lip, eye and face virtual try-on experiences to enable product discovery and build confidence in a customer’s online purchase.
“Clients of the virtual try-on company Perfitly saw an average of 64% fewer returns after introducing VTO tech. Meanwhile, Macy’s credited the feature for helping bring its return rate down to under 2%, and Shopify saw a 40% decrease in returns last year thanks to AR visualization.”
1r solved for combining Perfect Corp. functionality with an intuitive design curated for each unique brand experience. The end results included best-in-class front-end user experiences for on-site features like virtual try-ons, interactive quizzes, and shade finders. 1r also produced creative ads that showcased these experiences.
